Today I am writing this blog in English. It is unexpected since i have not written in any other language than Swedish during the 15 years this blog has been alive….but there is a first for everything, right?
This morning we took the metro from the hotel to La defense. We did not find the best way to the office, but we could clearly see which direction to walk, so we got there on time!
We had a nice view while we waited to be fetched at the front desk.
I did not take any pictures during our workshop (will try to do better tomorrow), but can say that the office is hugh and a person could easily get lost in there 🙂
After work the entire team (participants from Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, France and of course Sweden) headed for a cooking class somewhere near the station Ranelagh.
Gabrielle (the chef) welcomed us and explained what would happen.
We had a glass och ”confidence and joy” and had some apertizers.
Meet the team!
We had a nice time getting to know each other while Gabrielle handed out chores for us to do.
I did a lot of pumpkin julienne-cutting and took care of the onion-and chickpeas…
Gabrielle gave the seabream her love.
When we had finalised all tasks in the kitchen we were asked into the nearby room where we now enjoyed the first dish.
After that we strolled back to the kitchen and some of us had more cooking to do.
I think this is about when the ”plating-competition” started….
This perfectly cooked fish was to be accompanied by veggies and lots of information was given for how we could think while plating.
I did not put in a lot of energy in my plating. I was hungry and just wanted to eat. Which is obvious when looking at my plate 🙂
The rest of the team did however take this very seriously!
It was a very nice evening with lots of discussions and laughs. I really appreciate the day and the company. I think that meeting the team in real life will make the future work easier!
After a nice coffee we headed back ”home” to the hotel where I will now sleep and dream about all that was said during the day. Tomorrow we will continue the workshop!! Good night!
